KWCM sponsors the “18 Districts Lo Pan Rice Campaign”

Every 13th day of the sixth lunar month is the Lo Pan Patron’s Day. To embody the spirit of Master Lo Pan, K. Wah Construction Materials ("KWCM") sponsors the "18 Districts Lo Pan Rice Campaign" jointly organized by the Construction Industry Council and the Hong Kong Construction Association for the third consecutive year, and the KWCM volunteering team will help to distribute 1,500 donated Lo Pan rice lunch boxes to underprivileged families at ELCHK, Tai Wo Integrated Youth Service Centre.

KWCM will continue to uphold its philosophy of serving the community and take care of those in need.

GEG supports “2022 World Autism Awareness Day” campaign to proactively promote social harmony and inclusion

To echo the World Autism Awareness Day and promote respect and acceptance for autism in the Macau community, recently, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) supported the Macau Autism Association in its inauguration of the “2022 World Autism Awareness Day” Campaign, with its first activity, the fluid painting exhibition cum workshop held in Broadway Macau™. To facilitate community exchanges, GEG also invited members of the GEG Volunteer Team to participate in the workshop with their children, thereby enabling them to deepen their parent-child relationships through arts and to teach by example of what constitutes inclusion and social harmony.

GEG promotes Social Inclusion through Art Exhibition and Workshop

Upholding its corporate citizenship pledge of “Community at Heart, Empathy in Action”, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) has been facilitating the cultural and arts development of Macau whilst delivering care to different sectors of the community, in hopes of reinforcing their engagement in related activities through various opportunities. GEG invited members from the Macau Association of the Hearing Impaired and the Macau Down Syndrome Association, and their families, for a visit to “THE ART OF BAMBOO: from Qilin to Contemporary Art” exhibition that held in the GalaxyArt at Galaxy Macau™, and to participate in its extended program – the “Night Lamp DIY” Workshop. Through these activities, GEG hopes to enhance the exchanges of people with special needs through culture and arts, as well as promoting the spirit of care and inclusion in the community.

KWCM donates COVID-19 Test Kits to combat the fifth wave

KWCM has long been committed to the community. To fight against the COVID-19, KWCM has distributed hot meal boxes and anti-epidemic supply kits to the underprivileged. Amidst the severe fifth wave of the pandemic, KWCM donates 10,000 rapid antigen test (RAT) kits to low-income groups, elderly and frontline anti-epidemic personnel through various partners. KWCM will continue to join hands with Hong Kong in combating the pandemic.

KWIH donates COVID-19 Test Kits and provides accommodation to TWGHs

K. Wah International (“KWIH”) donates Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) kits to Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (“TWGHs”) through the “KWIH Anti-Epidemic Fund for frontline staff and service users including elderly and families in need, and provides accommodation for frontline healthcare workers and caretakers.

Dr Lui Che-woo, Chairman of KWIH, said, “We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our healthcare professional and caretakers for their selfless devotion and contribution to safeguarding the wellbeing of Hong Kong people. We will at our best work with and support the pandemic prevention work of the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Central Government to contain the pandemic together.”

KWIH has been supporting the anti-epidemic measures in Hong Kong and the Mainland since the outbreak of COVID-19, including the setup of surgical mask production cleanroom to stabilise the mask supply of social welfare sector. KWIH also provided vaccination subsidies to the underprivileged people for the pre-vaccination medical check-up last year.

GEG shares the Festive Joy with Elderly

Upholding its philosophy of “what is taken from the community is to be used for the good of the community”, over the years, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) has been extending its love and care to people in need. To celebrate the Chinese New Year, GEG has arranged a host of activities for single-living elderly members and families of elderly doubletons of Peng On Tung Tele-Assistance Services Center (“Peng On Tung”) of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau (“UGAMM”). The service users were invited to visit the Chinese New Year Market held by Galaxy Macau™ and GEG volunteers paid a visit and delivered festive gifts to them on the fourth day of the Chinese New Year to spread warmth, care and respect to Macau’s elderly community. Additionally, Philip Cheng, Director of GEG, presented a MOP200,000 cheque to the UGAMM Peng On Tung Charity Foundation. The funds will go towards the sponsorship of UGAMM’s Community Caring Program, which GEG has been sponsoring for six consecutive years, and subsidize the underprivileged to use Peng On Tung’s services.
