K. Wah Group Annual Staff Party 2017

11 May 2018

The Group management proposed a toast to the colleagues in appreciation of their effort which had contributed to the Group’s stellar results.

More than 550 staff and guests attended K. Wah Group’s annual staff party in May in a lively celebration of the Group’s achievements in the past year. The evening was run as a carnival event, where game corners and folk art stalls offering traditional games such as “rainbow throws” and oldies but goodies such as “dragon-beard” candies and dough figurines were set up, as guests and colleagues took a trip down memory lane to reminisce Hong Kong of the old times.

Group Chairman Dr. Lui thanked the staff for their hard work in his welcoming speech. “On behalf of the management, I would like to express sincere appreciation to you all, whose united effort has contributed to another year of sound overall operating results for the Company,” he said.

As the notion of the development of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao as a regional economy makes further inroads in implementation with the development of the Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Greater Bay Area and the completion of major infrastructure projects including the Guangzhou - Shenzhen - Hong Kong Express Rail Link and the Hong Kong - Zhuhai - Macao Bridge, the Group will welcome more opportunities while also facing new challenges. With proven experience in the industry garnered over 63 years and expertise of talents recruited across the globe, we have built a reputed brand name, on top of sound connections and landmark projects that we own as one of the first business groups to invest in the Mainland. With these strengths and advantages, I have no doubt that we will further expand our presence in the region and chart new heights,” concluded Dr. Lui.

The Group also took the opportunity of the occasion to present “Long Services Awards” to veteran colleagues who had served the Group with dedication for 25, 30 or even 35 years. The “Staff Excellence Awards” were also presented in commendation of colleagues whose services had manifested K. Wah’s core value of “impeccable quality”.
