GEG launches exhibition “GRACE KELLY: From Hollywood to Monaco – Artists’ Tributes”

GEG is committed to developing Macau into a world-class platform for art and cultural exchange, which diversifies Macau’s development. Co-organised by the GEG Foundation and Grimaldi Forum Monaco (GFM), the exhibition “GRACE KELLY: From Hollywood to Monaco – Artists’ Tributes” was launched at Galaxy Macau™ as a main feature of “Art Macao”, aiming to enhance Macau’s cultural appeal.

“2019 is a special year of ‘double celebration’. As part of the celebrations, GEG is honoured to stage this exhibition as part of the Government’s ‘Art Macao’ initiative and has been working throughout the years to bring new tourism offerings to Macau.” said Dr Lui Che-woo, Chairman of GEG.

“We cherish that we are able to open up valuable new opportunities here in these regions where a vital part of the world’s future is being shaped. We are delighted to be able to bring this exhibition to Macau.” said Serge Telle, Minister of State of the Principality of Monaco.

“We are very glad to witness the unveiling of ‘GRACE KELLY: from Hollywood to Monaco – Artists’ Tributes’, our debuting edition of ‘Art Macao’. I would like to thank GEG for their support of ‘Art Macao’.” said Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of Macao Government Tourism Office and representative of the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government.

Galaxy Macau modified the Crystal Lobby especially for this exhibition and designed a special exhibition hall with the aid of the expertise from the GFM team. The exhibition, on loan from the collections of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, capturing her legendary story from an Oscar-winning Hollywood star to Princess of Monaco.

“I would like to be remembered as someone who accomplished useful deeds, and who was a kind and loving person. I would like to leave the memory of a human being with a correct attitude and who did her best to help others.” Grace Kelly, 1982.
