12 Jan 2012

The New Palace of Asia wins for bringing game-changing "World Class, Asian Heart"
amenities and service to Asia's most dynamic tourism destination

(HONG KONG & MACAU, 12 January 2012) – Galaxy Macau™ was recently named "2011 Best Integrated Resort" at the Top Travel Awards, a leading program organized by Top Travel Magazine, a professional travel industry publication. The awards ceremony was held in Beijing on December 6, 2011.

Accepting the award on Galaxy Macau's behalf was Raymond Yap, Senior Vice President of International Premium Marketing Development for Galaxy Entertainment Group. "This is a wonderful honor to receive," Mr. Yap said. "Galaxy Macau was built to offer things that had never been seen in the market before, like true resort features and our famous 'World Class, Asian Heart' service standards. With the world's largest skytop wave pool, three five-star hotel partners, and more than 50 quality restaurants and bars, Galaxy Macau is an extraordinary, game-changing property. Just recently we opened UA Galaxy Cinemas, which has broken attendance records and revolutionized filmgoing in Macau. Coming up next is the February 29 opening of our spectacular new performance bar and lounge, China Rouge. We would like to thank Top Travel and its readers, and we're looking forward to being their number 1 integrated destination resort again next year!"

Top Travel magazine is an authority in mainland China on travel and travel-related news and trends. Over half a million copies are distributed in travel agencies and airlines. The 2011 Top Travel Awards were voted on through a survey of 100,000 readers and industry professionals in China outbound tourism.

This is the third major travel award for Galaxy Macau since it opened on May 15, 2011. Most recently, in August 2011, the resort was named "New Hotel of the Year" at the 2011 Travel Weekly China Travel & Meeting Industry Awards.

Galaxy Macau, The New Palace of Asia, has quickly become one of the top attractions in Macau. It draws over 30,000 visitors per day, many of whom stay in one of its 2,200 rooms operated by three leading Asian five-star hotels, Galaxy Hotel™, Hotel Okura Macau and Banyan Tree Macau. In addition to its Grand Resort Deck, man-made beach, skytop wave pool, opulent casino and more than 50 restaurants, bars and lounges, Galaxy Macau now boasts UA Galaxy Cinemas, Macau's first-ever nine-screen 3D cinema multiplex and the most advanced and luxurious filmgoingexperience in the market. The resort also recently opened East Square, a 2,100-square-meter multipurpose leisure and entertainment attraction that is destined to become Macau's favorite place for special events such as carnivals, premium functions, parades, countdown celebrations, exhibitions, cultural extravaganzas, festive performances and much more.
