Who’s who of Macau and Hong Kong attending the opening launch of
CHINA ROUGE – Southern China’s most luxurious performance lounge

(MACAU & HONG KONG, 30March 2012) –Tonight and tomorrow night, all eyes will be on CHINA ROUGEas the exclusive, members-only performance lounge celebrates its opening launch at Galaxy Macau™with a pair of spectacular parties forclub members, celebrities, and VIPs from Macau and Hong Kong.In anticipation of the weekend’s events, spokespersons gathered today with leading media from across the region to introduce this newforbidden chamber for Southern China’selite, which features stunning interiors by one of Asia’s leading designers, Hong Kong-born Alan Chan.

The press conference took place just hours before Ms. Laura Fygi – the talented Dutch diva and a favorite of audiences in China and around the globe –is scheduled to perform as part of the launch celebrations. Mrs. Fygiwill appear onstage in CHINA ROUGE’sbreathtaking showroom, which promises to become one of the region’s hottest, most intimate venues for exclusive events, accessible only by prestigious members and Galaxy Macau premium guests.

Conceptualized by Alan Chan with collaboration by RyuKosaka of A.N.D. Aoyama Nomura Design, and inspired by the Parisian cabarets of the 1800s, Shanghai of the 1930s and the fabulous women of that decadent era, CHINA ROUGE embodies the “World Class, Asian Heart” philosophy of Galaxy Macau™,Macau’s leading integrated destination resort and home to this members-only venue that promises to redefine nightlife in Macau.

The venue’s interior features an extensive collection of specially commissioned artworks by some of China’s most celebrated contemporary artists, including Buhua, Chen Man, Deng Xinli, LingJian and Zheng Lu.CHINA ROUGE also houses a number of impressive custom-made artifacts, some of which detail elements of classic Chinese literature.

“One of my passions is the fusion of Asian and Western design,” said Alan Chan, Creative Director of Alan Chan Design Company. “Therefore, the ‘World Class, Asian Heart’ philosophy of Galaxy Macau – also known as the New Palace of Asia – was the perfect fit.

“It has been an amazing project to work on, and I must applaud the determination of Galaxy Macau to create something truly exceptional. As a designer, it has also been a joy to be able to indulge my imagination and push my boundaries of creativity. I believe CHINA ROUGE has exceeded everyone’s expectations.”
