As part of its commitment to innovation, K. Wah Construction Materials (“KWCM”) carries out research and development to optimize the production process and use of raw materials. In line with China’s policies on sustainable development, at the beginning of the 21st century, KWCM entered into strategic partnerships with leading iron and steel enterprises to develop Ground Granulated Blastfurnace Slag (“GGBS”), a new environmentally-friendly construction material that aligns with China’s plans to promote a low-carbon economy.

KWCM today is a leading GGBS manufacturer in Mainland China with a sales network covering a dozen cities and annual production of more than 14 million tonnes. The Group’s green products are commonly used in infrastructure projects throughout mainland’s first-tier cities.
