KWIH Donates HK$5 Million to Support Flood Relief Efforts in Henan
Following The Donation of MOP10 Million by Galaxy Entertainment Group
K. Wah Group has donated nearly HK$15 Million

(Hong Kong - 26 July 2021) - Henan Province has been heavily hit by extremely heavy rainfall; flood prevention efforts have become highly difficult. Today, K. Wah International Holdings Limited ("KWIH" or the "Group") (Stock code: 00173) announced a donation of HK$5 million to Henan Province, the donation, which was made under coordination of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R.. It will be used to support the emergency response and relief efforts in Henan Province, and thus enable compatriots who have been affected to resume their normal lives soon. Following a recent donation of MOP10 million by Galaxy Entertainment Group Foundation under the Galaxy Entertainment Group, K. Wah Group has donated nearly HK$15 million in total to support Henan's rescue efforts.

Dr Lui Che-woo, Chairman of KWIH, said, “The flooding has caused great casualties with more than 10 million compatriots affected by the disaster. Some areas of the province are still impacted by floods resulting from the torrential rains. We are Chinese, I think we should concern about my country, I am deeply saddened by the casualties and property losses caused by the flood. As a Chinese enterprise, KWIH, as well as all of our team members, is very concerned about the flood. We would like to express our deepest sympathies to the people affected, and we have greatest respect for all the front line rescue workers. KWIH hope to contribute to the relief efforts through the donation, and sincerely wish the people in Henan Province stay safe and rebuild their homes soon.”
