KWIH Cares for the Underprivileged and Promotes Art and Cultural Development
Pay Visits to the Elderly to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival Showcase of Youth Talents in Fiddler on the Roof Jr.

27 Aug 2014

(Hong Kong – 27 August 2014) – K. Wah International Holdings Limited (“KWIH” or “the Group”) (stock code: 0173) and its staff always care for the underprivileged and actively promote art and cultural development. The Group encourages its staff and their family to participate in community and art activities during their spare time, and in the past weekend, more than 60 staff members responded to this appeal.

With the Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, KWIH once again collaborated with St. James’ Settlement to organize an elderly visit on 23 August. Led by Herbert Hui, Chief Financial Officer of KWIH, more than 30 staff members and their relatives and friends extended care and blessing to nearly 100 solitary elderly living in Lai Tak Tsuen with festive gift packs including mooncakes and fruits.

As an Honorary Patron of Opera Hong Kong, KWIH continued to support the annual Opera Hong Kong Summer School this year and sponsored children of KWIH staff to participate in the training and performance. Participants of the Summer School received a three-week singing, dancing and vocal training, and performed Fiddler on the Roof Jr. on 23 and 24 August to conclude their graduation. Paddy Lui, Executive Director of KWIH, together with staff members and their relatives and friends lent their support to the occasion and enjoyed the performance. The Group hopes that the summer school can benefit children and teenagers with musical talent by broadening their vision and realizing their potential, develop good qualities among the youth and enhance their self-confidence and sense of teamwork.
