2015 marks the 60th anniversary of K. Wah Group. Established in 1955, the Group has been developing by adopting a prudent and pragmatic manner in response to the needs of our country at different times. After six decades of development, Hong Kong has become an international metropolis, further strengthened by being reunited with the motherland. China is now the world’s second-largest economy and an important player in the global arena. And all this time, K. Wah Group has ventured out until it has become what it is today: a multinational conglomerate.
It is my honour to witness and participate in this ground-breaking 60 years and write my own page of the story in the evolution of the company’s history.
The Group has been able to grow at a steady pace because we are steadfast in following our core values. I have to thank our strong workforce for aligning with our business philosophy. We have been advocating the modernization of the quarrying and construction materials industry in Hong Kong and the Mainland, bridging the Hong Kong hotel industry with the rest of the world, nurturing hotel and tourism management talents for Hong Kong and the Mainland, integrating the Chinese humanistic philosophy in the hospitality industry in the U.S., as well as promoting the transformation of Macau into a world centre of tourism and leisure. Within humanism, rationality and rules of oriental and western ideology, the Group has devised a unique set of innovative culture and management mindset incorporating world-class best practices.
