In 1987, K. Wah International Holdings Limited (previously as K. Wah Stones (Holdings) Limited) was listed in Hong Kong (stock code: 0173).
     
  In 1985, based in San Francisco, Stanford Hotels Corporation (previously as Stanford Hospitality) was established by K. Wah Group to develop its hotel business of in the US. It owns and operates about 20 hotels, under the world renowned brands including Hilton, Doubletree, Sheraton and Marriott.
     
  In 1983, K. Wah Concrete Co. Ltd was established.
     
  In 1981, the five-star InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong (previously as the Holiday Inn Harbour View) opened.
     
  In the 1980s, K. Wah Group was one of the first enterprises in Hong Kong to enter the property markets in Mainland China. During the same period, K. Wah also penetrated Southeast Asian markets, including Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
