K. Wah Group ventured into the hospitality industry in the 1980s, which now owns and operates about 20 hotels with 10,000 rooms in Hong Kong, Macau and the US through its two arms, Stanford Hotels International in Hong Kong and Stanford Hotels Corporation in the US.

The Group's flagship hotel, the InterContinental Grand Stanford ("ICGS") established in 1981, was pioneer in introducing the star assessment system in Hong Kong and has become a landmark in the Tsim Sha Tsui East. Headquartered in San Francisco, Stanford Hotels Corporation is named the 12th largest hotel owner in the US, managing over 10 hotels in North America of top global hotel brands, including Marriott, Hilton, Doubletree and Sheraton.
